We are tired of teaching and watching the same dozen shows.
We are tired of watching students perform material not appropriate for their vocal development.
And most importantly, students are TIRED of performing songs and shows that don't matter.
Something needs to change, and we're here to make a difference.

Jonathan Donovan (aka Jonathan Smith) is a graduate of University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a BA in Music (Voice and Composition) with a Theatre Minor. In his career, he has performed in over 25 musicals and operas and has directed twelve musical productions. Through his experience performing in musicals performed by youth, he realized that there are not many shows that are accessible for youth to perform in their original form. Instead of adapting works and editing them to be suitable for youth musical theatre, Jonathan has decided to create all-original works that are appropriate for youth from the start.
In 2012, Jonathan started writing his first full length musical work, DMV The Musical. In 2014 it was performed in partnership with Introspect Arts and Everest Academy for the Arts, and received a grant through UW-Stevens Point's Summer URSCA grant program. In 2016 it received it's second production at Wausau East High School. |
